EI Salvador Under Bukele The Cost Of Control

After two decades of civil war, El Salvador is now combating gang violence with a strict martial law. Under President Nayib Bukele, criminals are thrown into a harsh prison system without a legal trial for 100 years or more. Recently President Trump even deported Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador’s prison system called CECOT, that is also being criticized for its ruthless treatment of prisoners.
